TRUST AND BELIEF

Trust and Belief
Believe:                1. Regard as true or real.
                              2. to have faith.

Trust:                   1. Confidence
                              2. Firm Belief
                              3. Reliance
                              4. Rely on
                              5. Believe in
                              6. Consign to car
                              7. Expect- expectancy – Hope

When I read the Complete Jewish Bible it speaks of Trust in the Words of Yeshua, it speaks of Trust in God.  When we read the stories of the bible we can see how God can be trusted and relied upon to help us in our times of trouble.  When we call out to him we are hoping that he will hear us, in one thing we can really trust that he does hear us.  However we do not always trust that he is going to be there therefore our prayers go on unheard, because the Word does say you cannot be double minded about things when it comes to asking God for anything.  Whether it is help in your health, wealth or family – it is only when you truly start to TRUST GOD – not just believe.

His Word and Works have all been proved to be Trustworthy – for every prophecy that has been fore seen is in the process of unfolding before our very eyes.

Today’s world is very much like the times of Noah and the people are behaving in very  much the way they did in the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah.  Is it any wonder we are living through some crises times, yet it is going to get worse unless we do something about it, but what can we do – I hear you say – it is simple – confess your unbelief and lack of Trust in the almighty God – he is the only one that can turn things round.  It is only when we start to live His way and keep His Holy days and His commandments that we are really going to be able live in Peace and Happiness.

Yeshua/Jesus said that unless we focus on him and follow his example and keep Gods Commandments and live accordingly then we shall be lost, destroyed.

The Bible is very clear on this matter – for in the Old Scriptures you can see that there were times when Isreal prospered when it was obedient to God’s teachings and commandments – yet when it choose to follow its own path away from God – spurning God and His teachings and following after the ways of the nations around, incorporating the teachings and traditions of the nations they went into severe decline and where in fact dispersed away from God – God cut them off until they were given a chance to Repent and Turn Back to the Father.

Yeshua/Jesus came to give us the opportunity to Come back to the Father’s ways to be given the hope of eternal life, to live our lives in peace with our neighbours by keeping the Commandments and following his example.
God gave us a plan to follow when he gave them to Moses and he gave Moses the plan of feast days which were to carried out by all mankind to the Glory of God – it was not just given to the Jews as people are so insistently saying because amongst the Jews also came foreigners out of Egypt and they were there with the Isrealites in the desert when Moses came down and they were givne a choice just as the Isrealites to follow them or be destroyed just as God said he would do in Deuteronomy – when we were given the choice to follow Gods ways and live and live abundantly lives or follow the way of man which is to reject God and his teachings and end up as the society is today – well I guess from looking around us today we can see where that has got us.

So, with Yeshua/Jesus we are given a chance to repent and return to Gods ways.  Yet because of the socalled “Christian” teachings we are blinded from the Truth of Gods word.  His ways are made clear with the Holy Spirit because He is the teacher who brings us back to the Fathers Holy Ways.

We all have a choice in this life – but we only have two choices – one leads to life and the other to death.

Following God’s way leads to Life and more abundantly
Not following Gods way leads to death and destruction and false teachings, false lives, sickness and disease, mental health issues on a magnitude that looking at history it has seriously got worse in this last century – the century that has chosen to reject God and His teachings.

We are very fortunate that there have been a people who have been seeking to keep the Commandments and the teachings and there area  few who are looking to bring Gods Truth to the people – not in standing of soap boxes in the middle of parks but in the quietness of living their lives according to God’s teachings.  Setting us examples for us to follow.  We are in need of real teachers of the Way of God – Teachers who can really give us the full picture and not just part.  Men and women who are inspired by the Holy Spirit and who have accepted the Messiah as their King and Lord.  These people we can have confidence in for it is these people who are being led back to teach us how to walk in the True Path of Righteousness – not just by saying it but by living the Way.  The Way that Yeshua taught His disciples and the people around him.

For me, spending time in the Word of God – discovering the Way that the disciples and Yeshua/Jesus lived inspires me to live the same.  Forsaking all other teachings – just to come back to the basic principles that God gave Moses and the Prophets – the very same prophets that Yeshua/Jesus speaks about.

These are people who walked with Yeshua/Jesus and ate with Jesus and prayed with Jesus – bearing in mind that Yeshua/Jesus was in the beginning with God and say Satan fall from the sky when he was thrown out of heaven because of his rebellion against the most high.

We need to come back to the Word of God and really ask the question How do we live like God wanted us to live in order for us to have abundant lives.  How can we really achieve the goals that Paul and Peter speaks of.

Ecclesiastes – says it very clearly at the end of his teaching – Trust God and obey Gods commandments – this is the best we can do in order to achieve an abundant and fulfilled life.

Join me in the quest to find the way back to the Father

Higher Power – Unknown God

Complete Jewish Bible-OE

Ephesians 2
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
You used to be dead because of your sins and acts of disobedience. You walked in the ways of the ‘olam hazeh and obeyed the Ruler of the Powers of the Air, who is still at work among the disobedient. Indeed, we all once lived this way — we followed the passions of our old nature and obeyed the wishes of our old nature and our own thoughts. In our natural condition we were headed for God’s wrath, just like everyone else.
But God is so rich in mercy and loves us with such intense love that, even when we were dead because of our acts of disobedience, he brought us to life along with the Messiah — it is by grace that you have been delivered. That is, God raised us up with the Messiah Yeshua and seated us with him in heaven, in order to exhibit in the ages to come how infinitely rich is his grace, how great is his kindness toward us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift. You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast. 10 For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do.
11 Therefore, remember your former state: you Gentiles by birth — called the Uncircumcised by those who, merely because of an operation on their flesh, are called the Circumcised — 12 at that time had no Messiah. You were estranged from the national life of Isra’el. You were foreigners to the covenants embodying God’s promise. You were in this world without hope and without God.
13 But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood. 14 For he himself is our shalom — he has made us both one and has broken down the m’chitzahwhich divided us 15 by destroying in his own body the enmity occasioned by the Torah, with its commands set forth in the form of ordinances. He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom16 and in order to reconcile to God both in a single body by being executed on a stake as a criminal and thus in himself killing that enmity.
17 Also, when he came, he announced as Good News shalom to you far off and shalom to those nearby,[a] 18 news that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
19 So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers. On the contrary, you are fellow-citizens with God’s people and members of God’s family. 20 You have been built on the foundation of the emissaries and the prophets, with the cornerstone being Yeshua the Messiah himself. 21 In union with him the whole building is held together, and it is growing into a holy temple in union with the Lord.22 Yes, in union with him, you yourselves are being built together into a spiritual dwelling-place for God!
Isaiah 57
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
57 The righteous person perishes,
and nobody gives it a thought.
Godly men are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous person is taken away
from the evil yet to come.
Yes, those who live uprightly
will have peace as they rest on their couches.
“But you, you witches’ children, come here,
you spawn of adulterers and whores!
Whom are you making fun of?
At whom are you laughing and sticking out your tongue?
Aren’t you rebellious children,
just a brood of liars?
You go into heat among the oak trees,
under every spreading tree.
You kill the children in the valleys
under the cracks in the rocks.
Your place is among the smooth stones in the vadi;
these, these are what you deserve;
you pour out drink offerings to them,
you offer grain offerings to them.
Should I calmly ignore these things?
You set up your bed on a high, lofty mountain;
you also went up there to offer sacrifices.
Behind door and doorpost
you set up your [lewd] memorial;
then, far from me, you uncovered your bed,
climbed up on it and opened it wide,
made an agreement with some of them,
whose bed you loved when you saw their hand beckoning.
You went to the king with scented oil;
you added to your perfumes;
you sent your envoys far away,
even down to Sh’ol.
10 Though worn out by so much travel,
you did not say, ‘All hope is gone’;
rather, finding your strength renewed,
you did not grow weak.
11 Of whom have you been so afraid,
so fearful that you lied?
But me you don’t remember,
you don’t give me a thought!
I have held my peace so long
that you no longer fear me.
12 I will expose your [so-called] ‘righteousness’;
and what you have done won’t help you.
13 When you cry, will those [idols] you gathered rescue you?
The wind will carry them all away,
a puff of air will take them off.
But whoever takes refuge in me will possess
the land and inherit my holy mountain.”
14 Then he will say,
“Keep building! Keep building! Clear the way!
Remove everything blocking my people’s path!”
15 For thus says the High, Exalted One
who lives forever, whose name is Holy:
“I live in the high and holy place
but also with the broken and humble,
in order to revive the spirit of the humble
and revive the hearts of the broken ones.
16 For I will not fight them forever
or always nurse my anger;
otherwise their spirits would faint before me,
the creatures I myself have made.
17 It was because of their flagrant greed
that I was angry and struck them;
I hid myself and was angry,
but they continued on their own rebellious way.
18 I have seen their ways, and I will heal them;
I will lead them and give comfort
to them and to those who mourn for them —
19 I will create the right words:
Shalom shalom to those far off
and to those nearby!’ says Adonai;
‘I will heal them!’”
20 But the wicked are like the restless sea —
unable to be still,
its waters toss up mud and dirt.
21 There is no shalom, says my God,
for the wicked.

Higher Power – Unknown God

People often say that they are meditating – taking time to get in touch with a “higher power”.  There is no higher power than the Creator of the Universe – in a word God.
There is no other way we can be saved and transformed lest it by the way – Yeshua/Jesus. The Messiah – Saviour of all mankind.  The purpose of his coming to dwell with us as a human being and dying for us was to show us a way back to the Creator God – our Heavenly Father.

I hear people say – there are many religions – I am not speaking of religion – I am speaking of a spiritual awakening to God Creator – through His Word all things came into being.

There is no greater joy than to look around at the amazing planet we call home and see such wonderful sights, mountains, rivers, trees, birds, flowers in fact all creation would not be here if it had not been first spoken out by God Creator – King of the Universe

Yet people seem to be afraid to acknowledge God creator – they will talk to spirit guides, and go to so called spirit mediums, necromancers, fortune tellers, seers, crystals readings, rather than go to the Source of all creation – God Himself.  Yet the mere mention of God the Father and Jesus his precious Son who is able to heal the sick, raise the dead, transform your lives is scorned and ridiculed yet – for me the clarity I have from following the way of Jesus and coming back to the Father is very clear.
I do not smoke, I do not drink, or take drugs of any kind, not do I need to go to a psychiatrist because I came to the father and laid all my life, desires, pain and suffering at his feet and asked him to transform me from within.

At the beginning of my walk before my close encounter with God the Father, I too believed in a Supreme being – a higher power – yet when God healed me and showed me how I may go on in life without fear and anxiety – just by confessing to Him all my heartaches and worries.  I began a journey of incredible blessing. God showed me through His word, history, geography and geology just how powerful God is.  How He formed the universe, created this planet for us and how he designed us and gave us life.

How involved He is with every detail of your life as you let him in to teach you personally.  How you can trust Him – There is no ill side effects when you Trust in God to take care of you as you walk in obedience to his teachings.

It is as you open up your heart and mind and accept Yeshua/Jesus the Saviour of Mankind as the True Son of the Living God and healer of all that you really can start to know what it is to be truly alive.  Everything you see and touch takes on a new aspect.  You look around you and marvel at the diversity of life.  The amazing formations of the mountains,  rivers, seas in fact all of creation.  No man,  nor fallen angel could do such things.

The King of the Universe, creator of live is the Only one who can give you the gift of Peace, joy and happiness, contentment.  Because He designed mankind to be at one with Himself, and that He had provided all for our pleasure and in doing so as he watches His sons and daughters enjoying the gifts he has bestowed  and thanking Him for every breath that they take – it gives Him pleasure.

However, when we look to seek a lesser place, worship -  man,  fallen angels, and seek a different path then there is a clearly a distinction in the lives of people – fear, wars, battles in the mind, mental illness, flesh rotting diseases, in fact all that God had said would come on Mankind because the choose to live without Him in their lives.  Yet each person has within them the need to search – everyone is looking, but not able to find what they are looking for until they Return to the Father of Creation.  Then all things are revealed and once again you feel connected to all that surrounds you – your reverence to all life becomes heightened.  The joy of watching birds in the sky, fish in the sea – rivers, even you can enjoy a moment of observing insects and through acknowledging their total dependency on God Creator to provide for them, you come to realise you too can depend on God to provide for you it is a matter of Trust.

When Christ was in the garden on the eve of his betrayal and crucifixion – as a man do you not think he was afraid of the following day’s events. As the Son of God he knows how we all feel – he could have chosen not to obey God’s desire to hang him the cross for the salvation of mankind.  Therefore through His obedience Yeshua/Jesus gave us a way back to the Father through laying down his life for us.  Raising from the dead so that we may have eternal life with Him.  He being the life giver the restorer of life to all mankind to those who would choose to obey and follow in the footsteps of Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah.  At the end of the day all mankind will bow down and tongues will confess that Yeshua/Jesus is Lord.

The way forward is to acknowledge your unbelief, repenting of your sins, lifestyle choices and learning to live under the mantle of the Creator is the only way to true peace, contentment, happiness and joy.

As we share with each other we grow together in love and unity.

God called us to love one another, to help one another.

He gave His life for us to be able restore us back to the Father.  Without Yeshua/Jesus there is no Power for in His Name all Power and Authority is Given to set the captives free and heal the sick and restore the sight of the blind, raise the dead in His name.  In His name there is power to transform your life.

Forgiving one another as he has forgiven us.

Learning to Trust in His Words, His promises, His way of life and Peace.

Laying down your learnt traditions of man, just come sit at the feet of the Throne of God and learn to live again.

Feeling a mantle of peace being placed on your shoulders as you open up to Yeshua/Jesus .  Peace that no matter what goes on around you – cannot be taken from you - unless you choose not to Trust.

To have the Words of comfort to know that each burden, worry, anxiety, stress, fear can be lifted from you as you reach out and ask Yeshua/Jesus into your life – only in this way can you really begin to feel a great sense of peace and freedom.

Fear is a mind killer – to carry such is dangerous to your health – yet giving each fear to Yeshua/Jesus/God it can be lifted and you will begin to receive an understanding that no matter what is happening around you.  You can trust that God knows your every need, and in well able to supply al your needs as they are in accordance to God’s will for your life.

No matter whether your life has been filled with drink, drugs, fear.  Gods is able to restore you as you surrender to God – the Highest Power in the Universe,  there is no other Higher Power than God, creator of all life, planets, stars, water, land us.  Even so to follow lesser than the highest is utter foolishness because they cannot deliver you. As you turn to him.  As you ask God to reveal himself to you – as you start to reach out and ask for help – He is there for you, just waiting to heal, bless and restore you.

For me, there is no greater power than God. He healed me, I follow in His teachings, He keeps me safe and teaches me the way of peace, joy and salvation.

There is o other way except though Yeshua/Jesus for True Salvation, Transformation.  At the Name of Yeshua/Jesus every knee shall bow, every tongue will confess that He Is LORD – through Him there is LIFE

Human being, prophesy against the shepherds of Isra’el. Prophesy! Tell them, the shepherds, that Adonai Elohim says this: ‘Woe to the shepherds of Isra’el who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep?

Book of Ezekiel

34 The word of Adonai came to me: Human being, prophesy against the shepherds of Isra’el. Prophesy! Tell them, the shepherds, that Adonai Elohim says this: ‘Woe to the shepherds of Isra’el who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep? You eat the choice meat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, and you slaughter the best of the herd; but you don’t feed the sheep! You don’t strengthen the weak, heal the sick, bandage the broken, bring back the outcasts or seek the lost; on the contrary, you tyrannize them with crushing force. So they were scattered, without a shepherd, and became food for every wild animal — they were scattered. My sheep wandered around aimlessly on every mountain and hill; yes, my sheep were scattered all over the land, with no one to search for them or look after them.
“‘Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of Adonai: “As I live,” Adonai Elohim swears, “because my sheep have become prey, my sheep have become food for every wild animal, since there was no shepherd, since my shepherds didn’t look for my sheep, and instead my shepherds fed themselves but not my sheep,” therefore, shepherds, hear the word of Adonai! 10 Adonai Elohim says, “I am against the shepherds. I demand that they hand my sheep back to me. I will not allow them to feed the sheep, and they won’t feed themselves either. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths; they will be food for them no longer.”
11 “‘For here is what Adonai Elohim says: “I am taking over! I will search for my sheep and look after them, myself. 12 Just as a shepherd looks after his flock when he finds himself among his scattered sheep, so I will look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered when it was cloudy and dark. 13 I will bring them back from those peoples, gather them from those countries and return them to their own land. Then I will let them feed on the mountains of Isra’el, by the streams and in all the liveable places of the land. 14 I will have them feed in good pastures; their grazing ground will be on the high mountains of Isra’el. They will rest in good grazing grounds and feed in rich pastures on Isra’el’s mountains. 15 Yes, I will pasture my sheep; and I will let them rest” says Adonai Elohim. 16 “I will seek the lost, bring back the outcasts, bandage the broken, and strengthen the sick. But the fat and the strong I will destroy — I will feed them with judgment.”
17 “‘As for you, my flock,’ Adonai Elohim says this: ‘I will judge between sheep and other sheep, between rams and billy-goats. 18 Wasn’t it enough for you to feed on the best pasture and drink from the clearest water? Did you have to trample the rest of the pasture and foul the remaining water with your feet? 19 So now my sheep eat what you have trampled with your feet and drink water fouled by your feet.’ 20 Therefore here is what Adonai Elohim says to them: ‘I will judge between the fat sheep and the thin sheep. 21 Because you push them with your flanks and shoulders and butt all the weak ones with your horns, till you scatter them in every direction; 22 therefore I will save my flock; they will no longer be prey; and I will judge between sheep and other sheep.
23 “‘I will raise up one shepherd to be in charge of them, and he will let them feed — my servant David. He will pasture them and be their shepherd. 24 I, Adonai, will be their God; and my servant David will be prince among them. I, Adonai, have spoken. 25 I will make a covenant of peace with them; I will rid the land of wild animals; and they will live securely in the desert and sleep in the forests. 26 I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing, and I will cause the rain to fall when it should — there will be showers of blessing. 27 The trees in the field will bear their fruit and the soil its produce, and they will be secure in their land. Then they will know that I am Adonai, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the power of those who turned them into slaves. 28 No longer will they be prey for the Goyim, nor will the wild animals devour them; but they will live securely, with no one to make them afraid. 29 I will make the productivity of their crops famous, and they will no longer be consumed by hunger in the land or bear the shame of the Goyim any more. 30 They will know that I, Adonai their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Isra’el, are my people,’ says Adonai Elohim. 31 ‘You, my sheep, the sheep in my pasture, are human beings; and I am your God,’ says Adonai Elohim.”

WE can praise God that he has risen up a shepherd whom we can trust  Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah.
We can trust the words of his testimony and life as he lived according to Gods Holy ways, and kept Gods Holy days, and was very much a man who walked and talked the way that God had ordained him to do.  Withouth his precious life and death and resuurection we would have not gateway back to the Father.

We have all been taught to follow the teaching of the various denominations and sects, whatever and wherever you are coming from I do not try to say follow me, I offer you my thoughts and my understanding of the scriptures.
When I first came to know the Lord when I was 21 I was a sceptic and unbeliever who although I did have some notion that there must be a supreme being who was in control of the whole universe as it did not make sense to me not have a Intelligence in control.  For me even before I got sick I was looking a life and wondering how was it all made possible.  There was so much in the scientific community that were discovering new things especially in archaeology and there was so much that was so incredible man could not duplicate no matter how much they have tried.
As a child I had some experiences which were hard to share – as I would probably have been classed as a nutter.  I can remember a time I was in the bath when as I lay there soaking in the water I noticed the window frame made the shape of the cross in the water as I pondered on this I was led on to see a beach scene with Jesus in white coming towards me – as I was watching I could see how lovely he was and how friendly he was and much pain he must have suffered.  I did not fully appreciate this gift I had been given till much later.
When I was dying at 21 with an illness brought on from stress and fear, chronic nervous indigestion – today people take gaviscon and other remedies to soothe the tension and relax the muscles – but it does not take away the underlying cause – anyway, I was seeing a doctor who had prescribed Aslione Suspension which was supposed to relax my stomach cramps and help with the pain I was undergoing.  However, it did not work for me, because it was not meant to as it was a way that God had used to bring me to my knees to reach out and touch the skirt of the Jew – to call upon Him for my help.  I was lying in bed suffering great weight on my chest as if my life was being pushed out of me, when I cried to God  - acknowledging my unbelief in Him.  Yet at the same time something in side of me was crying out to God for Help.  As I acknowledge my unbelief and asked for him to deliver me and help me the weight lifted off and I was able to sleep.  I needed God’s help I had no-one else to help me. I was alone with a young baby who needed me.  I was really scared I was going to die and she too would have died as there was no way anyone could have come in to help us.   I cried to God and He rescued me.  He can rescue you too.
The only thing I can remember doing before this incredible event happened in my life – I had been reading Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in a bible I had had since I was a child. It was the only reading of any value in my home at the time.  I can remember reading it and thinking how could this amazing God possibly help me.  How does this relate to my life.
However since that time, I have been reading the scriptures and learning much about How God does care, How He does want to help us – yet because of our unbelief and actually denying he even exists and changing His word to suit our Ideas – the softening of the word for the flock has actually done people more harm.
For me the scriptures are a joy and a great way to get know the Heavenly Father.  Not only that as you read the scriptures you can see how throughout all of history Yeshua/Jesus was also very much in evidence.  Throughout the books of the prophets you can see that his coming is announced both the first and second coming.  For me the adventure of knowing Yeshua/Jesus as my lord and saviour has been an ever increasing source of joy and pleasure.  In all the scriptures I can see that without Gods ways we are doomed, by following in Gods ways and footsteps we can see that we would be blessed.  So when he says seek the Lord while he may be found, and seek you first the kingdom of heaven, we can see that he has a way of life that is different to the way we live our lives now.
For me seeking the Kingdom of Heaven – that has meant the discovery of how would we live in the kingdom of Heaven – under his teachings and His laws.  Learning from the scriptures exactly that has meant has been a real journey of joy and expectation.  I would that you too would open your Word and discover the great pleasure is in store for you.
For me starting in genesis and working my way through the Bible has been a real eye opener.  Reading about the times when the kings of Israel and Judah who kept Gods teachings and His ways, His feasts and His commandments they flourished and were living in peace with their neighbours.
However when the kings who chose to not obey, who lived their lives their own way and taught the people to do the same, following after the lusts of their own flesh and offering up their children to Molech and sacrificing their children in the fires to the pagan gods who were not gods at all. We can see that their kingdoms were shattered and full of battles and wars and slavery.
Which would you choose.  Learn to live Gods way or keep living the way of the society is today. Making a choice to change is clearly in your own best interests.  For me, the scriptures and the words of Yeshua/Jesus are very clear.  Come back to the father, repent of our sins and unbelief and turn to him for him to teach us and lead us to life more abundantly.

Listen and pay attention, dont be proud

Jeremiah 13 - V 13 -
For Adonai has spoken.
Give glory to Adonai you God before the darkness falls, before your feet stumble on the mountains in the twilight, and while you are seeking light, he turns it into deathlike shadow and makes it completely dark.

But if you will not hear this warning, I will weep secretly because of your pride:
my eyes will weep bitterly, streaming with tears because Adonai's flock is carried away captive.

Tell the king and the queen mother, "Come down from your thrones, for your magnificent crowns are falling from your heads"

The cities of the Negev are besieged, and no one can relieve them, all of Y'hudah is carried into exile, completely swept into exile.

Raise your eyes, and you will see them coming from the north.

Where is the flock once entrusted to you.

When we consider how we are treating Gods word with contempt and distaste and all things holy as if it were not, we must ask ourselves this question - Do we who claim to walk by faith and trust and truth actually do so, or are we just people looking for a way out.  I know I have put this question to myself over the years and over the years I have come to realise that only Gods Word is relevant to all life's ways.

When we look in the book of Genesis and see how he gave mankind the command to go subdue the animals and the land.  He gave us a good resource to live with.  Mankind has slowly forgotten the great gift they have been given - that is life itself.  I have been amazed about how we have treated his wonderful gift.

On recently reading a very interesting book
The Sixth Extinction: Biodiversity and Its Survival  I have been amazed at just how much we have destroyed in our pursuit of our so called modernisation and civilisation of this planet.  When I was a young girl living in Sao Paulo I read the national geographic about the so called opening up of the Amazon - at the time I was only a child of about 11 or 12, I was surprised that man seemed unable to understand the fact they in fact were in the process of destroying themselves.  I was only young and did not fully appreciate the full implication of my thinking, however it has always made me aware of the terrible things we have done to this amazing place Earth we call home.  However, mankind does not seem to appreciate the deforestation and the death of millions of lives in the animal kingdom who share our wonderful planet - they do not consider it too much of a loss when great swaths of forests are destroyed in the name of progress.

Perhaps if were to look at Gods word a little closely and see just how he intended us to live in harmony with all that surrounds us, perhaps then we could halt the mass destruction of the planet.

We do our "bit" by recycling and consider it to be a chore in some cases, yet look at what we are throwing away.  - We really need to come back to God and ask his forgiveness for being such a destructive and immensely hard hearted towards our fellow companions on this planet.  After all God put them on our planet to keep the forests and woodlands beautiful and clean - can you imagine that if we did not have the clean up crews of the seas and land what this place would be like.  Man is so full of nonsense with regard to their ability to clean up after themselves that they actually create more problems.  We poison our waters with the drugs that we take for various ailments, we pollute the planet with our vehicles and various household products which are then not able to be recycled.

I care for our planet, I care about my fellow human being and wonder if we could actually reach a place where we can at least start to take care of the planet as we should do.  By better farming techniques which do not require us to use poisons, better husbandry of animals so they are not pumped full of hormones which we then ingest and pass through us back into the water in the fish and thus the cycle of slow poising of ourselves is complete.  Can we not see that this happening.

I experienced a few years ago a strange occurrence within my body - I had been eating a fair amount of tinned tuna and sardines, mackerel that after a few weeks I suddenly started to bleed for no reason - I had reached that time in woman's life when natural monthly bleeding had ceased, therefore it was something that I felt I needed a second opinion about, I went to the Dr who promptly sent me to the hospital - who could not find anything wrong - so I gave it some thought as to what I had been doing up to that point and found that the consuming of the tinned fish on a regular basis had in fact created in me a hormone leap which triggered the bleeding, after I had made this deduction it ceased and made me consider very carefully what we as a species are doing to this planet and in turn to ourselves.

No wonder there are so many different problems in society with hormone difficulties with men and women, we have started the trend that in the future there could be fewer and fewer births, therefore we are on our way out as a species and it is down to us.

Praise God that He is the master of the universe and he is in control - He knows what we have done to his precious planet and to its inhabitants therefore we have a lot to answer for not just our every day sins and our immoral behaviour but also our murdering the living creatures on this planet that have actually only been doing this planet good.  We certainly cannot claim to have done the same - history and biology can show you this.

So perhaps if you read this you will consider your way of thinking towards your fellow traveller on this planet and give God the glory he deserves and ask for his forgiveness for your lack of understanding and knowledge towards his fellow creations.

I praise God that as I sit and write this I can see that we are doomed to extinction by our own hand if we do not turn back to God and ask for his forgiveness and learn to follow his teaching and his way of life he had first instructed Mankind to follow.

We have to learn to respect where we are, we need to acknowledge that we are responsible for the state of the earth and its pollutions.  We need to start with ourselves and seek to see how we can make a difference.

It is not always in the big acts that things can be made to change, but by individuals taking responsibility for each act of their own in preventing the situation getting worse.

I understand that people need to live and eat and have jobs - well we can all help one another - we can show each other what we are able to do and share our knowledge and skills - the problem today is that because of man's greed and intolerance to other species we are in a fix that only God can really sort out.

By our coming to understand that Large Bucks does not need lead to great lives, safe lives or indeed happy lives.  Perhaps when you consider what you do for a living and how you would be able make a difference perhaps helping your fellow man with his/her needs.

I write this because I can see that we are in need of people to share what is needed to be said.
People need to wake up and see that we are heading for extinction by what we are doing.

Governments cannot make the changes - they are not able to provide for you all your needs or indeed are incapable of understanding your needs.  But God is there he does know your needs and he is well able to take care of you.  You only have to read the book of Genesis and see just how he takes care of those who are willing to follow and trust him to take care of them.

I live by faith and trust that God will provide all my needs.  There have been times in my life when I have had no money in my pocket yet God has provided, he has provided me with warm clothing and he has brought people along side me who have needed my help - and in helping have been rewarded so do not consider that because you do not have anything to share you  do, even if it just a kind word and a smile and perhaps a cup of coffee or glass of water without realising it you are doing what Yeshua has said we should do, we are living by Gods ways.  Remember it is not always about how much you are going to get out of something but how much you can give to someone else.  Giving is much more prized than receiving - yet in receiving we are able also to give - so please consider yourself fortunate to be alive today on a beautiful day in February - ok I am fortunate I am living in the South of Spain, it is a beautiful sunny day.  I know that there are people who live in dark cloudy places, yet God sees where you are and he reaches down to you and as you reach up to Him and ask for his forgiveness and ask him what He wants you to do for him you will suddenly realise that you are not alone in this vast universe.

Have a great day.

Adonai's arm is not too short to save

(ISAIAH 59)

Nor is his ear too dull to hear.

Rather, it is your own crimes that separate you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he doesn't hear.

For your hands are stained with blood and your fingers with crime; your lips speak lies, your tongues utter wicked things.

No one sues with just cause, no one pleads honestly in court, they trust in empty words, and say worthless things, they conceive trouble, and give birth to evil.

They hatch vipers eggs and spin spider-webs;  whoever eats their eggs dies, and the crushed egg hatches a snake.

Their webs are useless as clothing, their deeds are useless for wearing, their deeds are deeds of wickedness, their hands produce violence.  Their feet run to evil, they rust to shed innocent blood, their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness, their paths lead to havoc and ruin.

The way of shalom (peace) they do not know, their goings-about obey no law, they make devious paths for themselves, no one treading them will never know shalom.

This is why justice is far from us,
and righteousness doesn't catch up with us.
we look for light, but see only darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom.

We grope for the wall like the blind; like people without eyes we feel our way; we stumble at noonday as if it were dusk, we are in dark places like the dead.

We growl, all of us, like bears and moan pitifully like doves; we look for justice but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us.

For our crimes multiply before you, our sins testify against us; for our crimes are present with us; and our sins, we know them well:

Rebelling and denying Adonai (God)
turning away from following our God', talking about oppression and revolt, uttering lies which our hearts have conceived.

Thus justice is repelled, righteousness stands apart, at a distance;
for truth stumbles in the public court, and uprightness cannot enter.
Honesty is lacking, he who leaves evil becomes a target.

Adonai saw it, and it displeased him, that there was no justice.
He saw that there was no one, was amazed that no one interceded.
Therefore his own arm brought him salvation, and his own righteousness sustained him.

He put on righteousness as his breastplate, salvation as a helmet on his head; he clothed himself with garment of vengeance and wrapped and wrapped himself in a mantle of zeal.
He repays according to their deeds - fury to his foes, reprisal to his enemies, to the coastlands he will repay their due; in the west they will fear the name of Adonai, and likewise, in the east, his glory.

For he will come like a pent-up stream, impelled by the Spirit of Adonai.
"Then a Redeemer will come to Tziyon, to those in Ya'akov who trun from rebellion"

So says Adonai
"And as for me" says Adonai,
"This is my covenant with them: my Spirit, who rests on you, and my words which I put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or from the mouth of your children, or from the mouth of your children's children, now or ever" says Adonai

When we consider the fact that most of the world churches and people do not really believe that God is going to do what he says he is going to do.  Most of the so called people who worship God do not really understand his mighty power.  You only have to look into the scriptures to really get a good idea of how powerful God really is.

Whenever I read a scripture which is where people are in dire straights and being surrounded by their enemies, yet in the midst of all the danger, there is always one voice which cries out to God of Israel with heartfelt full blown awe for the Living God that God hears his cry and listens to him and in his mercy he shows that person the way out of any given situation.

We today, often call out to God yet not really believing that he is going to hear us, we really do not consider his awesome power - this mighty creator of the universe, many people just put God in a box on Sunday and forget about the awesome everyday things that God is actually involved with.

Do you realize that God choose to create Human beings for his pleasure - He gave us this magnificent planet to enjoy, to bring glory and thanks giving back to himself.

God gave us his precious son so that we may have a mediator between us and God who shared for a short time our planet living with us as a human being - obeying God unto death for our benefit - no other love has any man shown to any like this God has given to us.

God created us, gave us a brilliant home, and yet how do we repay him, we deny him, we consider his word as nothing, we cast out his laws as if they were antiquated - yet in reality when studying his laws you would see that they are for our benefit for all mankind.

He has been so generous to us, he gave us a rainbow in the sky to remind himself not to flood the earth again as he did in the time of Noah - wow - and when we look and see the rainbow are we amazed at the truth behind it or do you just look and say hey isn't that nice.  For me to see a rainbow is a great reminder of the promise that God gave to us as Mankind.

How do we repay this mighty living God - we dont

God says all those that call on his name in that day shall be saved.

Well, on the day I cried out to a God I did not believe in and had his hand personally touch my life and change it for me, I do not look at God in quite the same way.

He gave me life, he has given me hope, he has restored to me all the joy that a person could have.  I praise God every day I get up.  I thank him for every beautiful new day, for the birds that sing, for the trees that oxygenate the planet, for the wonderful seas we have with the abundance of life.  I praise God for his wonderful mercy and truth.

I praise God for his mighty delivering hand, he led the children of Israel out into the desert to become their father and he took care of them - every step of the way, how do you repay such a God as this.

In with the children of Israel were also foreigners - that is they were not all Israelite's, some were from tribes outside of Gods chosen people, yet they choose to walk with God and keep His commandments and live just like the Israelite s and to receive all the blessings and also all the curses as God had indicated in Deuteronomy.

Sometimes we forget that there were foreigners in amongst the Israelite's in the desert, yet when you read the book of Genesis you can clearly see that this is a fact, therefore all the laws that God gave to Moses also apply to all mankind.  He showed it very clearly in that fact when the foreigners were also given the same rules as they were living with the Israelite's in the desert.

On doing my family tree, I discovered that there were ways to find your line going way back.
When I had a dream once where I was loosed from a chain of my family and was able to walk back down the line I could see it right back into the beginning of time.  We all have this line, none of us are just from the modern times, we all have a family history.  I took mine down my fathers line, and I was very surprised to discover how far back it went.  I discovered from some writings it went as far back as Exodus, amongst the foreigners who were with the Israelite's therefore it showed me that no matter what we think we know about our past sometimes it is even more interesting when you are prepared to walk with God and really discover the truth.  When I started to walk down that path and discovered this information, I went one step further and was looking to see where the "gentiles""foreigners" came from, From the sons of Noah - he had with him in the boat, out of these came the tribes of man, so no matter what you think, we are all connected to Gods own story - we all are part of the tapestry of life.  We all have our own part to play.

For me the discovery made so much more sense than anything else.  To know we are connected right back to Noah - who in turn is connected back to Adam, who in turn is the first creation of God, who gave us life.

When we think that in the beginning God in his heaven decided to stretch forth his hand and create the universe and everything living and breathing, in and out of water, it is an amazing achievement, whether you believe we have evolved from some goo on the planet ponds, the amazing beautiful God decided we were worth creating.  He decided that each animal was worth creating, that no matter we may consider as real or not, the fact is that we are all here sharing in this amazing planet.

Do not think that I am a little goofy, I do not care what you think, I do care what God thinks about me, and how he has kept me and sustained me and helped me through all my dark days and nights, how he has held me in his arms and comforted me when I lost my way, how he drew me back to his loving and tender mercies.

I praise the Living God, Creator  that without his input this universe would blow apart and never be.
When you read of how he intends to create a new heavens and a new earth for those that will follow him, does it not make you think just a little bit about what you really believe.

I praise God that his are is not too short to save us from ourselves.

Adventures in the Book of Kings

I have recently been reading the books of Kings in the Scriptures.  I have been thrilled at the incredible movement of God in peoples lives, how when we are obedient the nations flourish and prosper and when the kings/governments choose not to follow Gods teachings and instructions, the families are wiped out of history.  You can double check this for yourself if you take the time to read both books of Kings.  I am excited by what I am reading.

The more I read of the Scriptures the more secure I feel in God Creator and Yeshua the King of Kings.  We can have a faith as a child and believe as a child.  However when you start to look at the exciting events in the scriptures it gives me a real security in knowing that the God of the Bible is incredible and worth working with and growing to be more like him. To follow His instructions for our lives is for the benefit of every man woman and child in societies across the planet.

For me, I praise God for the Word of God, it never changes nor does it lead you astray.  YOU are the one that needs to see the amazing events in the Scriptures - it truly is an amazing adventure.

The prophets were so aware of Gods real presence in their lives and trusted Him with their lives.  Elisha and Elijah are incredible prophets and when you start to read their complete stories in the book of Kings - both books, you will discover a real sense of Trust.

Bless every one who reads this today.  May God Bless you with Peace and understanding.
Take care.

Unnatural Disasters

Unnatural Disasters

Cover Story: Dexter B. Wakefield

The entertainment industry has filled people's minds with many false ideas about the end of the world. Will you recognize—and be ready for—Jesus Christ when He returns?
Space invaders! Earthquakes! Tsunamis! Welcome to the movies... and to your future?
One of the most successful genres of cinema in the last three decades has been the “disaster movie.” Digital special effects make it possible to create scenes of catastrophes far more realistic than ever before. In exciting sequences, cities are destroyed or humans encounter technologically superior beings bent on conquering earth. And it all looks so real. In fact, the scenes and characters seem so realistic and engaging on the screen that people can easily imagine such events actually happening.
But how would you react, if a reliable authority told you that there was an imminent invasion of non-humans coming to rule the earth? Would you help fight against them? After all, characters in the movies always resist the space invaders… and surely you want to be on the side of the heroes.
The idea of “space invaders” is taken seriously by some prominent scientists. Consider this: “British physicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life. Hawking claims in a new documentary… that intelligent alien life forms almost certainly exist—but warns that communicating with them could be ‘too risky.’ ‘We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet,’ Hawking said. ‘I imagine they might exist in massive ships... having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach’” (“Hawking: Aliens may pose risks to Earth,” MSNBC, April 25, 2010).

Interestingly enough, a similar movie plot played out in the successful film “Independence Day,” which was released in 1996, well before Professor Hawking’s 2010 comment. In that movie, space invaders with superior technology were bent on destroying human life in order to exploit the earth’s resources.
A Book of Science?
Is the Bible just a compilation of ancient literary works? Should it be trusted as a book of science? Would you expect the Bible to contain information about a coming space invasion? Is it a book of literature, or of science, or of fiction?

Those questions present false choices. A better question would be, “Is the Bible a book of history?” It certainly is—and the history it contains is being consistently verified by modern archaeology. Among many things, it is also an “instruction manual” for living a successful life.

Moreover, as history, the Bible is unique in that it contains both past and future history. “Prophecy” is another name for that future history. The God of the Bible tells us, “I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure’” (Isaiah 46:9–10). What God tells us about future events is as certain as the history that has already occurred.

What Does Fulfilled Prophecy Look Like?
Fulfilled prophecy may be as dramatic as a movie thriller. Or it may seem as routine as a story in your morning newspaper—except that the prophecy was given thousands of years ago. In one sense, God is an advance newscaster. For example, in 70ad, Roman soldiers destroyed the temple in Jerusalem while defeating a Jewish rebellion, and the Jews were soon scattered into what is often called the “Diaspora.” Yet, long before, God had foretold through His prophet Zechariah that the Jewish people would return from a scattering many centuries later, as part of a series of prophesied events occurring just before the return of the Messiah. “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it… In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place—Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:2–6).

Indeed, after nearly two millennia of exile, descendants of the ancient kingdom of Judah reestablished their homeland in 1948 as the nation of Israel. Obsessed with destroying Israel, the surrounding Arab nations immediately attacked, but were “burned” and driven back. Then, in 1967, Jerusalem was retaken by the Israelis in the “Six-Day War,” and since that time, Jerusalem has been “a heavy stone” and an intractable political problem for all nations. Those events are history now, yet the prophet Zechariah recorded them millennia ago as “future history”!

What is some additional “future history” that you will see as news in the near future? Tomorrow’s World has long recognized some of the key developments we can expect:
  • A ten-nation “United States of Europe” will form, led by Germany. It will not be a secular union as the EU is now, but will be led by a very charismatic religious leader and a powerful political figure. The political leader will not take his power by force; rather, the ten nations—or “kings”—will give it to him, probably for economic reasons. Britain will not be a part of this union.
  • This great European leader will make an agreement with Israel that, among other things, will allow the Jews to resume religious sacrifices in Jerusalem.
  • A powerful Islamic leader will arise and “push” at the European power. This will result in a European invasion of the Middle East that will defeat the Islamic power. It will also end the sacrifices in Jerusalem (see Daniel 11).
  • The cessation of the sacrifices in Jerusalem will begin a period of great trial in the earth, known as “The Great Tribulation” (see Matthew 24:15–22).
  • To many observers unaware of Bible prophecy, these events—dramatic though they may be—will seem “normal” in their modern context, though they were, in fact, foretold long ago by a God who tells “the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done” (Isaiah 46:10). God’s plan for humanity will not fail. Yet many observers will be blinded by secular assumptions that exclude the possibility that the Creator is real and is working out His plan.
The Movies Get Real
Beyond these political and military developments, other details of our “future history” will be so dramatic that they will seem remarkably like the catastrophes depicted in Hollywood disaster movies:
Earthquakes: Characters in the popular movie 2012 attempt to flee worldwide catastrophe brought about by astronomical events that cause changes in the earth’s crust, resulting in great earthquakes. As characters narrowly escape death, Los Angeles, California slips into the sea. Los Angeles was also destroyed in the 1974 box office hit, Earthquake, and other films as well. Destroying “L.A.” seems to be a preoccupation with Hollywood producers. The movie earthquakes also produce massive tsunamis that destroy cities worldwide.

Students of Bible prophecy will recognize that Scripture describes great earthquakes just before the coming of Christ. The Apostle John recorded a remarkable vision that mentioned several great earthquakes. “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake… Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” (Revelation 6:12–17). This scripture alone could almost be taken as the screenplay for a modern disaster movie.

Other prophetic passages of Scripture also mention great earthquakes occurring before the end of this age. The Apostle Paul explained God’s motivation for this, quoting Haggai 2:6 that “now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’ Now this, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain” (Hebrews 12:26–27).

Tsunamis: In recent years, many popular films such as Poseidon, Tidal Wave and 2012 have depicted great destruction caused by massive waves of the sea. This echoes the biblical description: “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21:25–26).

Asteroids and Comets: Some disaster movies—such as Armageddon and Deep Impact—portray an asteroid or comet crashing into the earth, causing great damage. Once again, the Bible foretells of a similar event. “And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter” (Revelation 8:10–11). When this finally happens, will people see it as a natural disaster, or recognize the biblical warning?
Disease Epidemics: Dozens of disaster movies in recent years have been built around the theme of disease epidemics. Films such as Outbreak and Ebola Syndrome echo Scripture’s warning that major disease pandemics will devastate the earth’s population at the end of this age. “So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image… They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds” (Revelation 16:2, 11). Notice that, instead of recognizing God’s warning and correction, Scripture shows that many will blame God for their illness, and will harden their hearts against Him rather than turn from their sins. This hardening will set up a final prophesied worldwide rebellion against God, and a great battle between good and evil upon the return of Jesus Christ.

A Biblical Space Invasion?
Alien Invaders: One of Hollywood’s most popularmovie genres is the alien invader from outer space. The aliens may be cuddly, as in E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, or benevolent as in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Or, they may be terrifying creatures bent on destroying mankind, as in War of the Worlds.

End-time prophecy in the Bible describes an extraordinary event in which a ruler with great power and glory will descend from the clouds to set up a kingdom on the earth. “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30).

Notice that this remarkable prophecy, given by Jesus Himself, states that “all the tribes of the earth will mourn” at the sight of Christ’s coming. Will people see these dramatic events as divinely fulfilled prophecy—or as natural events that they have already seen depicted very realistically in one way or another in the movies? Will they see Christ as a Savior or an invader? The Bible indicates the latter.

The Apostle Paul warned Christians that a time of great deception will come on the earth: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4).

Paul then reminded the brethren in Thessalonica about the prophecies he had shared with them. “Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?… And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (vv. 5–12).

The Real Armageddon
The Bible foretells that Judah—the modern nation of Israel—will reinstate animal sacrifices, but that the sacrifices will be stopped by an unrighteous king who will occupy Jerusalem. This will occur as part of an invasion of the Middle East by a great European “king of the north.” The end of the sacrifices will begin a series of catastrophic events over three and a half years that will culminate in what many on the earth will assume is an invasion by a hostile being and his armies. That “invasion,” however, will in fact be the long-awaited coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ—the King of Kings!
“And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon” (Revelation 16:16). The word, “Armageddon” derives from a place about fifty miles north of Jerusalem called “Har Megiddo” or Mount Megiddo. It is located on the edge of the Plain of Jezreel, which has ample room for great armies to gather. It sits astride the northern invasion route into Israel, and in ancient times was the scene of various battles. Notice that the armies only gather at Armageddon. The actual name of the battle is “the battle of that great day of God Almighty,” and it takes place at another location—the Valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:1–2)—which is the Kidron Valley in Jerusalem. The Kidron Valley lies between the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives.

Incredibly, the nations of the earth—in a state of “strong delusion”—will go out to fight against Christ when He returns—just as they would fight an invading alien. “Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east” (Zechariah 14:3–4). In the movies, the hero always defeats the invading aliens—but this battle is not a movie script. They will be fighting Jesus Christ, who has “all authority in heaven and earth” (Matthew 28:18)—and the climax of the story is that the nations’ armies will be annihilated (Zechariah 14:12)!

Faith on Earth?
God tells us that He will “shake the earth” to get the world’s attention. But will a world in spiritual darkness be able to recognize what is actually happening? Only those who are willing to look at these dramatic events through the eyes of faith will see. If we allow ourselves to be informed by faith, then we will believe what God says through His prophets. If not, in those days, only deception will remain. In the end, it will be a choice between the flesh and the Spirit. Jesus asked, “when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).
