Narrow Way - Kingdom Path

Narrow Way – Kingdom Path

My journey in the book of Luke
On reading Luke this week I have been drawn very much to the way Jesus/Yeshua speaks to his disciples concerning entering the Kingdom.

We have been living so long with the contaminated traditions of the “churches” believing that their way would be acceptable to God.

Yet reading how Jesus/Yeshua makes it clear that it is a narrow way and few will find it.  Brings me to the question – How then can we get into the Kingdom.

Jesus/Yeshua said clearly in the scriptures that even if we were to raise the dead, heal the sick and perform other miracles in his name – if we do not obey His Commandments, His principles, and Keep Gods Holy days then we would not be accepted into the Kingdom.  We would infact be left outside with the unbelievers – nashing our teeth and wailing.

Remember the story of the rich man who asked Jesus/Yeshua about how to get into the Kingdom of Heaven – in the book of Matthew and Luke he is mentioned.  Jesus/Yeshua made it very clear that we are to keep Gods Commandment.  These are Commandments and teachings and Holy days that were given to Moses and the Prophets at the start – Jesus/Yeshua most certainly not come to change or bring in a new religion but to actually restore us back to the original one that God gave Moses and as it is important enough for Jesus/Yeshua to keep reminding people of this fact throughout his ministry.  We are to keep and learn how to live according to Gods Holy ways in order that we may enter in to the rest and live in harmony with our fellow human being.  We are all created in His image.  We are all given the same rules and regulations to live by – this is bourne out by the fact that in the Exodus there were foreigners amongst the Israelites who were leaving with the Israelites who were given the opportunity to Follow the same God and keep His Holy ways.
For me, it is a blessing that God’s word never changes, His teachings always bring hope and encouragement and not to follow after the traditions of man.

As a young woman I began to question the validity of what was being taught in the “churches” against what was written in the Scriptures, the more I wanted to know what God had to say – How do we keep His Ways, that path that leads to peace and fulfilment.

Studying the Scriptures and learning more and more how they actually work to my advantage and I sought to apply them in my own life. Sitting at the feet of the Messiah on a daily basis and learning from the Word of God how to live the life that is worth living has been an incredible journey.

My studies have let me discover the difference between Trust and Belief – How to Trust God and not just believe in Him.

My choice of Bible also makes It clear the difference and I praise God for the Jews who take the time to share their understanding and time to translate for us to use today.

May I recommend that you try looking for a copy of the Complete Jewish Bible  and make the comparisons yourself
